RTÉ Feature on SIRKS From 1990
On our 200th year anniversary in 1990, RTÉ visited our then headquarters on Palace Street in Dublin. The clip (please click here to view) shows some of the crumbling neighbouring buildings - and indeed 2 Palace Street was only saved as a result of a long campaign by SIRKS against compulsory purchase. One neighbouring building (formerly the business that became Mason Technology ) was destroyed by fire. Happily the building on the other side has been restored, and now houses Chez Max restaurant. SIRKS sold its headquarters in 1992, but it became and remains a family home and a protected structure. We have now been helping those in need in Dublin for 235 years, and rely on your support to continue being able to do so. We would be very grateful if you would make a donation via our website.
